Ground Zero and NYC

Spring Break 2012 was a trip to New York City.  The 9-11 Memorial was my primary motivation for the trip.  It was important to me that my daughter understand the enormity of the devastation.  I wanted her to personally experience Ground Zero to help her understand why I had missed so much of her life since the attack.

We stayed at the Hilton Millennium Hotel with a room that overlooked Ground Zero.  The trip to NYC included stops at St. Paul's Church, Times Square, Central Park, observation decks at Rockefeller Center "Top Of The Rock" and the Empire State Building at night.  We took a ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
With stops at Wall Street and the NY Stock Exchange, Federal Hall, Trinity Church, St Patrick's Cathedral, Grand Central Station, Greenwich Village, Little Italy; China Town, shopping on Canal Street, Penn Station, Madison Square Garden, Trump Plaza, Trump Tower, Dylan's Candy Store, Museums of Science and History, Times Square Church for Tuesday night service and back on Good Friday for a play...an amazingly diverse congregation with a passion for Christ!
